Danny Sangra’s business card would probably need a tiny font to list all of his titles. The multifarious British artist is a graphic designer, illustrator, video director, and now, knitwear designer. Danny recently collaborated with Lynn Cockburn aka Lynnda Needles to create their debut line of unisex knit cardigans, jumpers, blankets, and socks under the label, A Minute Silence. Each handmade piece comes with an original piece of Danny’s visually stimulating artwork. Check out this brilliant artist who is constantly pushing the envelope of creativity.

1. How would you describe your work in three words?
Visually chaotic overload.

2. Who is your creative role model?
William Klein. He did it all and it was unique.

3. If you had an extra hour each day what would you do with it?
Build a time machine or go to the shop.

4. What place in the world most inspires you and why?
My City of London, for the amount of competition you are up against everyday and the history of talented people that made it what it is. Also Paris, you can never be uninspired in Paris. I actually think it’s impossible.

5. If you could do a different job for a day what would it be and why?
What I do and how I do it is not a job, so I wouldn’t want to trade that for an actual job. However it would be kinda cool to be a ninja for a day.

6. What is your favorite homemade gift to give?
Painted milk bottles.

7. What is your favorite object in your home?
Do kittens class as objects? No? Ok then I’ll say the photo of me and my mum from 1985. She has the greatest 80s look going on. She looks like the mum from This is England.

8. What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Do something you love then it will never feel like work.

9. What websites do you use for inspiration?
I’m not giving up my sources! I will say I like combining random words in google and seeing where it takes me. The thing with that is, no matter what you search for your three steps away from a naked girl. Guess that’s what keeps the Internet alive.

10. When do you consider a piece of your work complete?
When the wind changes direction and the waves crash. Lightening fills the sky and the clouds turn red. Wolves howl and the dinosaurs roar, then I think to myself ‘yeah, this looks pretty good.’
