Chesley Andrews

1. How would you describe your work in three words?
Simple, Clean, Jazzy.

2. Who is your creative role model?
Beyonce, for sure. She does it all, really really really well, and she’s nice.

3. If you had an extra hour each day what would you do with it?
I would use that time to be a dog-owner.

4. What place in the world most inspires you and why?
Mexico really does it for me. I love the hand-painted signs, the vivid colors, the handmadeness, the Spanish colonial architecture, the food. God, why am I not there right now?

5. If you could do a different job for a day what would it be and why?
I love to sing, I’d like to be a singer, and I’d like to do it forever, not just one day.

6. What is your favorite homemade gift to give?
Making coffee for someone in the morning always feels like a really beautiful thing.

7. What is your favorite object in your home?
My snow leopard print towel from West Elm always makes me happy.

8. What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Do something every day that scares you.
