“Smile.” That’s the best advice Danish painter Malene Langreen ever received. And her large scale, brightly hued works are guaranteed to make you grin. In her most recent exhibition, Malene filled the gallery space with candy colored floor to wall paintings and mirrored columns to create spatial optical illusions, while paying tribute to Danish painter Richard Mortensen. Berlin is a wonderful place to be for a curious human being.

I would be a singing dancer. Why not?

A funny knitted hat.

10. When do you consider a piece of your work complete?
I will have to recite Murikamo when he was asked when is a book complete, he answered: “It is like sex. You know when it is over”.
