Ji Lee

Ji Lee’s work is inviting. As a graphic designer, he’s created identities for brands, institutions and publications. As an ad agency creative, he’s asked drinkers of tap water to donate money to Unicef through the Tap Project. And as a rogue artist, he’s encouraged pedestrians to contribute phrases onto advertisements through blank speech bubbles as part of his Bubble Project. In his current role as Creative Director at Google Creative Labs, Ji is getting people, businesses, and web technologies to participate in the innovate platforms developed by him and his company. Perhaps that’s why Ji’s fascinating portfolio website and both use the same pseudonym: PleaseEnjoy. Simply put, Ji Lee is a creative powerhouse. You’re now invited to read what powers his creativity in his 10 ANSWERS below. Hope you enjoy!

Marcel Duchamp for hijacking everything and changing the meaning of the original object.

I don’t know. I don’t need extra hour. I’m quite happy with 24 hours. I suppose I can always sleep more.

NYC, because it’s the most ethnically diverse place and there are always so many new things going on all the time.

5. If you could do a different job for a day what would it be and why?
The guy who hands in the towels to the Knicks players during the breaks. This gotta be the most fun and easy job in the world. Or the guy who lights up the Empire States building. That’s a cool job.

and people I follow.

10. When do you consider a piece of your work complete?
