1. How would you describe your work in three words?
Paper, Glue, Fun.

2. Who is your creative role model?
Richard Scarry.

3. If you had an extra hour each day what would you do with it?
I’d take my computer and go outside. I don’t have enough outside time.

4. What place in the world most inspires you and why?
I think that Yosemite is the most beautiful place in the world.
I feel very at ease there and it always pains me to leave.

5. If you could do a different job for a day what would it be and why?
Astronaut. It would fulfill a lifelong dream.

6. What is your favorite homemade gift to give?
You can never go wrong with brownies. Unless they’re bad, then that is a bad gift.

7. What is your favorite object in your home?
I have a love/hate relationship with my coffeemaker, but I don’t think I could live without it.

8. What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
If you make a Plan B, you almost never accomplish Plan A.

9. What websites do you use for inspiration?
Lab Partners, Hark! A Vagrant and  is inspirational in that it allows me to have interactions with people, which is nice in the mostly solitary world of Illustration.

10. When do you consider a piece of your work complete?
I know I’m done when I successfully Photoshop out all of the dust.
